Narrative Shift Series

Welcome—please watch the short videos (and skim the notes).

The blurbs under each video give helpful context. The real “aha” lives in the video

Read for context, watch for change. The blurbs are helpful, but the short videos are where Julie shares the real value. Start with the Short Intro, then 1 → 4.

  • Symptom chasing keeps you stuck. Don’t just try to shrink anxiety, money stress, or relationship strain.
  • Seven common buckets of problems: Heavy emotions · Avoidance/escapism · Identity conflict · Over-preparing/perfectionism/shame · Other people/people-pleasing · Low energy/unsupportive context · Poor use of time & money.
  • The growth alternative: Instead of shrinking problems, grow your whole life — courage, happiness, mindset, relationships.
  • Why growth works:
    1. Bigger life makes problems feel smaller.
    2. More capacity means more resources to solve problems.
  • Organic health improvement: Growth naturally balances physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual health.
  • Relationships: Growth strengthens marriages, parenting, friendships, and influence — before crises happen.
  • Money: Growth makes purchases mindful, spending strategic, and wealth creation sustainable.
  • Signs of growth at work: Calm, resilient, hopeful · Engaged, not numbing · Present in leisure · Purposeful rest · Compassionate & repair-oriented in relationships · Goal-directed with supportive environments.
  • Bottom line: Growth fixes problems more deeply and permanently than chasing symptoms.

Mini self-check (10s):
Which of the seven problem buckets has the strongest grip on you right now? If that one quieted down for a week, how would your life change?

  • Identity > Tactics: Real change happens by shifting identity narratives, not by chasing quick fixes.
  • Above the Line: When you’re your best self, you create, connect, and contribute.
  • Below the Line: Hard events knock you down — but narrative keeps you there.
  • Toxic Narratives:
    · Escapism → scrolling, binging, numbing.
    · Victimology → stuck in blame, waiting for others.
    · Survivalism → “just getting by” as identity.
  • Neutralizing Narratives:
    · Escapism → Engagement
    · Survivalism → Playfulness & Experimenting
    · Victimology → Radical Self-Care
  • The More Map: Tactics only stick if tied to a deeper narrative. Cold plunges, workouts, diets — they only last if the story behind them is meaningful.
  • Core Power: You are built to be the author of your own narratives — about yourself, others, and the world. That’s your real leverage point.

Mini self-check (10s): Which of the three toxic narratives (Escapism, Survivalism, Victimology) grips you most right now? If it vanished this week, what would shift first?

  • Nobody can shift your narrative for you. But nobody can stop you either.
  • Static vs. Signal: The world is full of static. Your problems are your psyche’s way of saying: “tune in.”
  • Your signal comes from inside. Following someone else’s signal leads to the wrong strategies.
  • Nine-Step Proven Path: Purpose → Truth → Choose → Old Story → Experience Old Story → New Story → Ritualize → Track → Recalibrate.
  • Steps 4–6 are the hardest to do alone. That’s why community support matters.
  • Better compounds: Growth in one area (health, relationships, money) spills into the others.
  • Results: 94% report better health, 90% stronger relationships, 87% better finances.

Mini self-check (10s): Which area is calling for your attention right now — health, relationships, or money? If you tuned into your own signal, what’s the next tiny action you’d take?

  • Proven Path: Your growth does the fixing.
  • Sequence: Health → Relationships → Money (they compound).
  • Workshops: 90 min · content → journaling → breakout → Q&A.
  • Culture: Code of Silence — what’s shared here, stays here.
  • Time: It’s never about enough; it’s about trading.
  • Money: It always returns. Think returns, not costs.
  • Spouse: Never ask permission to grow.
  • Shame: Human-made, thrives in silence. You are not alone.

Mini self-check (10s): Which objection grips you most right now — time, money, spouse, or shame? If it went quiet for one week, what would change first?
