Dr. Julie Helmrich is the creator and teacher in this program. She has over 35 years of working with individuals and organizations in the areas of personal effectiveness. Her doctorate is in psychology; she has taught at 10 universities in 4 states, in psychology and leadership. Her brick ’n’ mortar classes always filled, according to students, because she has a particular talent for making theory and scientific findings into actionable strategies. She has worked in the public sector (county, state, and federal levels), the private for-profit sector, and for not-for-profits. In the last decade she has worked diligently to bring scientific psychology to the typical person, outside the university and away from the consultation offices of private coaches. For her efforts, she was recognized as one of Milwaukee’s most creative people by Milwaukee Magazine in 2013.
